It seems there was a misunderstanding regarding the purpose of your appointment. The appointment was scheduled as a routine check-up, while our practice currently focuses on professional dental cleanings (PZR) rather than offering isolated insurance-covered tartar removal. But we also understand that other practices offer that and that's how you expected to receive it.

We also understand that the paperwork you were asked to sign may have added to the confusion. This is simply part of our standard registration process for all patients and does not commit anyone to a private treatment or payment. It is only a consent form.

Your feedback has encouraged us to review whether offering insurance-covered tartar removal in the future could be beneficial for our patients. We also recognize that we can do a better job of communicating what an appointment includes and what patients can expect before they arrive.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of your appointments and fully understand your frustration, especially as this resulted in a delay to your treatment.

Please know that we only reschedule appointments in exceptional circumstances, such as unexpected illness of a dentist or dental hygienist when no suitable replacement is available. Unfortunately, in your case, this happened twice in a row, which was a very unfortunate coincidence.

We understand that this left you disappointed, particularly after your initially positive impression of our practice. We take your feedback seriously and continuously work to improve.
