Have been to a few dentists in Germany, as soon as you have a private insurance, they will blow up costs and make you do unnecessary treatments. Of all the dentists I've been to, this one that abuses the system the most. Made an appointment for changing a cavity filling. Once there I was told that today wouldn't be possible due to lack of time but the dentist still charged me for a consultation for basically telling me to come another day. Round 2: everything goes fine but when presented with the bill, I see over EUR 200 just for replacing a filling. That's outrageous if you know the real price. After analyzing the bill, I found that the dentist had added treatments and other stuff that he didn't do. For example 6 injections for anesthesia when clearly he only did one. When asked about it, he told me that I should care as the insurance will pay everything anyway. The problem is that I hate people that abuse the system for their personal benefit...
