It took me a while to decide to write this review because I was genuinely shocked by my last visits here. Unfortunately, my two last experiences were very disappointing, and the last one was unacceptable. I moved away from Kaiserslautern two years ago, but I returned and traveled over two hours by train to see this dentist because it was easier to get an appointment. After waiting, I was called into the treatment room, and the first thing the doctor said to me was: “So, you’re here to pay your debt?” I was completely confused, I had already paid that bill through the external company that sends the invoices and even had the receipt on my phone. The doctor then guided me out of the treatment room without any check-up. When I insisted and asked him to show me the evidence for his claim, he said:
“Maybe you paid the company, not me.” This was very confusing, he is the one who authorizes that company to collect payments on his behalf. The whole situation felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. Then, instead of starting the check-up, he mentioned a review I had previously written about another negative experience (when they had canceled my appointment) and said:
“I have two suggestions: delete that review because it’s funny, I have 10,000 patients and nobody writes these things, and second suggestion: book another appointment because I don’t have time for you today!!!”. He didn’t examine my teeth at all, didn’t look into my mouth, and simply walked back to the treatment room
saying he had another patient. I had just spent hours traveling for this appointment, only to be dismissed because of an honest review, and after having already paid the bill. The whole situation felt surreal and deeply unprofessional. In addition, about a year ago, another appointment had also been canceled on the spot because I didn’t have enough cash, even though I offered to pay by card or quickly get cash from the bank. They never mentioned beforehand that payment in cash was required. The assistant at that time refused and told me to “book another appointment.”
Overall, I found this practice highly disrespectful toward patients’ time and effort. Based on these experiences, I cannot recommend this place, neither for professionalism nor for the quality of care (another dentist later told me that the work I received there was not of good quality, I’m not a dentist, so idk 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Sehr undurchsichtig, da hier auf Barzahlung bestanden wird, so gibt es keinerlei Nachweis, ob man nicht zu viel berechnet bekommt. Außerdem ist eine der Assistentinnen extrem unhöflich und begegnet Patient:innen mit einer herablassenden Haltung. Wenn man darum bittet, mit dem Arzt selbst zu sprechen, wird das schlicht verweigert. Leider verhält sich auch der Arzt selbst nicht besser.

Ausgezeichneter Zahnarzt! Freundlich, sympathisch und kompetent. Auch das Praxisteam ist stets zuvorkommend und freundlich. Die Wartezeit bei vereinbarten Terminen betrug bei mir bisher maximal 30 Minuten.

This dentist is probably not just the best in Kaiserslautern but also Germany, I got the best treatments for my gums and teeth. Dr.Sonnenburg actually cares about his patients and he tried his best to treat my bleeding gums without making me pay a cent. I had a normal student insurance. I always got a great treatment and never felt like I was being sold anything. Very professional and capable doctor I wish I still live there so I could visit him. Highly recommended

ich bin seit circa zwei Jahren Patient und bin sehr zufrieden mit dem ganzen Team. Bei Herrn Dr. Sommer erscheint es mir so, dass er die für den Patienten sinnvollste Lösung vorschlägt und nicht wie man bei manch anderem Zahnarzt vermuten könnte, nur eine teure Lösung verkaufen möchte. Zudem ist es in der Regel so, dass man bei vereinbarten Terminen nur eine sehr kurze Wartezeit hat.
Sehr zu empfehlen die Praxis.

Ich hab eine Stunde lang gewartet weil ich ohne Termin gekommen bin. Die Ausrede war dann das ich anrufen muss und Termin machen muss. Obwohl mir gestern der Zahn kaputt gegangen ist abends.

Der beste Arzt, ich hatte viele Besuche und bin mit allem zufrieden. Der Arzt und seine Assistenten waren sehr freundlich und geduldig mit mir, da ich kaum ein Wort Deutsch konnte. Vielen Dank.

Kann ihn nur empfehlen,...habe 16 Jahre als Zahnarzthelferin gearbeitet,..(nicht bei ihm!!!!), Mußte mir einen neuen Zahnarzt suchen,wegen Umzug und neue Berufsorientierung
Sehr nett, nimmt sich Zeit,..., Seid 2008 bin ich hier Patient und werde es auch bleiben
