I found his Praxis on Google when I was searching for a dentist nearby my office. It was easy to get an appointment on the next day and only 3 minutes walk from my office :)
The reception lady is friendly and she informed me that Mr. Schymanski speaks English when I told her I do speak German but when it comes to medical explanation, English fits me better.

He pointed out the pain I had and he's also friendly & open to questions which makes me more confident to ask questions.
Next appointment for scalling has been booked for March :)

In Berlin or for that matter anywhere on this planet ;) , it would be hard to find a dentist as good and caring as Dr Schymanski. I have had a great experience on multiple instances at his clinic.

Ich bin seit Jahren bei Dr. Schymanski. Er legt sehr großen Wert auf den Erhalt der bestehenden Zähne, anstatt, wie in meinem Fall bei anderen Ärzten vorgekommen, einen teuren Zahnersatz vorzuschlagen. So bin ich mit einem sehr guten "Eigenbestand" an Zähnen durch die Jahre gekommen, seine Plomben haben viele Jahre gehalten. Immer freundlich und vorsichtig. Dass er manchmal ohne Assistenz arbeitet verringert die Qualität keinesfalls. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Not worth your while, unprofessional and misogynistic.

Office and working area are nice but I felt uncomfortable being alone the whole time with him (no other clients nor receptionist) plus a lot of personal questions, many focused on me being a foreigner. Not your average small talk questions but intruding ones.
I came in to have a general check up and ask about my wisdom teeth (they were randomly coming out) and any solution for clenched jaw at nights (plus the obvious headaches).
For the “check up” he just poked my gums with the metal tip tool and flossed.
For the wisdom teeth I wanted to know how many I had (since I thought I didn’t have any), if they had to be removed. He said it’s a matter of time, if I had more they’ll come out on their own (as if X-rays were not a thing), and removing them was my choice (because I’m the expert, right?)
Clenched jaw was the ultimate joke. His answer was “yeah, hysterical women, right? What can be done about it?” And laughed it off.

Take a bit of time to research your doctors. It’s sometimes a pain but it’s worth it. Avoid yourself these experiences.

I can only recommend Dr. Martin Schymanski if you are looking for an experienced and really kind dentist. It was super easy to book an appointment online, and his office has a perfect location as it is very close to two U-Bahn stations (Märkisches Museum and Heinrich-Heine-Straße).
